Performance
Nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal secretions are collected
from swab and mixed with preservation solution.

Transport and storage requirements after sampling
Freshly collected samples shall be transported to the
laboratory as soon as possible and within 24 hours.lt is
recommended that specimens be kept at 2°C-8°C
following collection and while in transit.

Operation Method
Nasopharyngeal sampling

Take out the swab |
|
Insert the swab into the nostril perpendicular to the nose and reach the nasopharynx when resistance is encountered, so that the swab stays in the nasal cavity for 15-30 seconds |

Gently rotate the swab remaining in the nose for 3 times |
|
After the collection is completed, unscrew the whole collection cover and put the swab into the sample tube containing the preservation solution |
|
Break off the redundant swab handle at the nozzle and leave the swab head in the sample tube |
|
Rotate the tube cover and return to the laboratory after sampling |
Oropharyngeal sampling
|
Take out the swab |
|
Extend the swab into the pharynx, wipe the swab on the bilateral pharynx tonsils and the posterior pharynx wall for 3-5 times |
|
After the collection is completed, unscrew the whole collection cover and put swab into the same tube containing the preservation solution |
|
Break off the redundant swab handle at the nozzle and leave the swab head in the sample tube |

Rotate the tube cover and return to the laboratory after sampling |
Warning
1.Do not use the medium for pre-wetting the swab prior to collecting the sample,and do not allow the preservation solution to touch the skin directly.
2.After collecting the sample,if the sampling fluid turns yellow or cloudy,it needs to be sampled again.Using a new kit.
3.Do not ingest the medium.
4.To be handled by trained professionals only.
5.Do not use if the swab is visibly damaged,or if the color of the medium changed.
Storage conditions and expiry date
Storage at 2-25°C for 12 months from date of manufacture.
Applications instrument
This product does not require instrument operation.
Precautions/Attention
1.Do not eat,smoke or chew gum 30 minutes before sample collection.
2.Check and confirm that the outer package of disposable sampler is intact and the parts are complete.
3.Due to individual differences and other reasons,1 % of subjects still need to be re-sampled.An operational error or contamination of the sample may necessitate resampling.
4. Nasopharyngeal samples collected shall be regarded as infectious substances,and the operation and disposal shall comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
5.This product is for one-time use. It is prohibited to use it twice. Diffident people are forbidden to use the same collector,and the collector that is expired is forbidden to use.
6.Observe biohazard precautions and aseptic techniques.
7.All specimens and materials used should be considered potentially Infectious.
